CD-R Duplication VS CD-ROM Replication
Are CD-Rs identical to normal CD-ROMs?
CD-ROMs are made by being pressed from a mold, while CD-Rs and CD-RWs are also made in a mold except the data is not recorded on them. Data is burned on the disc with a laser. Though CD-ROM and CD-R are not identical, they work just the same. However, you cannot record to pressed CDs, only to CD-R/RW discs.
